We are looking for a commercially savvy marketer to manage our sponsorship and partnership activity; from top level strategy, right through to the deliverables – ensuring maximum ROI. The role is an integral part of our Marketing team and will also work closely the Sales team to ensure activity meets key business objectives.

The Sponsorship and Partnerships Manager will be accountable for planning, delivering and evaluating the company’s sponsorship and partnership portfolio to drive maximum ROI and brand exposure from investment in this area. Sponsorship and partnerships are a significant part of our Marketing activity so the successful candidate will need to know how to activate the brand as well as drive commercial return.

You will lead athlete sponsorship and local ambassador ‘influencer’ programs, manage event sponsorship and merchandise opportunities, establish partnerships with key affiliated brands and organisations; developing our commercial network to maximise opportunities. You will be astute in your approach, securing and evaluating new sponsorship, and partnership opportunities based on the objectives of the business, as well as producing P and L business cases for investment in potential deals, taking full ownership of partnership and sponsorship spend.

With a keen interest in sports it is crucial that you have a good understanding of the key events, club sector, governing bodies and wider operations within the industry, as well as knowledge of the top athletes. You will be a skilled negotiator with a head for numbers and a rational instinct, as well as the ability to bring an idea to life and engage with customers. Licensing experience and experience negotiating contracts is desirable.

During our peak season, this role is non-stop, with multiple events running, comms to plan and content to produce, In order to effectively execute and maximise opportunities, a high level of organisation is expected – planning and managing your workload to deadlines whilst showing the drive and ambition to seek new opportunities. Given the busy nature of this role, a high level of attention to detail is paramount in everything you do – from day to day comms, to major event logistics.

PERSONAL CREDENTIALS:

  • Experience within the sports industry desired.
  • Educated to a degree level in marketing or a related discipline desirable.
  • Experience working with event sponsorships essential.
  • Experience in developing and executing multi-channel comms plans.
  • Experience within business development/sales desired.

Part-Time Sales Ambassador |

Grassroots has always been an important part of what we do, working with lakes, events and clubs across the country. As part of this, we work closely with a number of open water swimming facilities and are looking for a part time member of staff to help promote the brand at Shepperton Open Water Swim Lake.

This role is perfect for someone looking for additional part time hours or a student seeking a summer job. The role will be on a part time basis, working Saturday and Sunday mornings (06:30-1130), as well as ideally Monday evenings (depending on availability).

As a brand Sales Ambassador you will be responsible for delivering first class customer service and Zone3 experience at the lake – serving customers at our pop-up shop and offering help and advice. Ideally you will already be an advocate of the brand and share our passion, and values. You will be a triathlete or swimmer (past or present) and able to give advice, and help customers choose their perfect wetsuit, as well as shoot the breeze (we like to talk about triathlon and all things sports related with our customers). Hopefully you will get to combine work with play and find time at the end of the day’s work to get a swim in the lake (in your Zone3 wetsuit obviously).

You will be responsible for managing all on the activity including setting-up and merchandising stock, serving customers and processing transactions, on the day wetsuit hire and logistics, and pack-up, as well as stock management. The ideal candidate will be a people person and hands on ‘doer’ with great customer services, exceptional organisational skills, and a passion for triathlon. Given the weekend commitment and hours we’re only looking for candidates who are dependable and able to commit to most of the season (we expect there will be the odd weekend you need to book off for holidays, racing or family commitments which is fine, as long as we know in advance).

In return you will earn £10 an hour and get to work at a beautiful lake with a picturesque setting. You will also get a wetsuit to use for the season and Zone3 casual apparel wear.

Content & Community Digital Marketing Manager |

We’re looking for a swimming, cycling and running digital whizz who can help manage our online activity, including our website, social media channels, display advertising and PPC activity. It will suit someone who is passionate about triathlon and is looking to take that next step on the career ladder in a varied role with full responsibility across our digital channels – helping both yourself and the brand grow.

The brand website is our online home and a key asset, both from a product information and research perspective, as well as providing general triathlon content and advice. You will take ownership of Zone3.com and the customer experience; managing front and back-end changes, and development, including adding and updating product, and content, page enrichment, promotional changes, and structural changes where required.

Whilst you are managing a beautiful website, the next thing is to show it off by driving traffic so that customers can appreciate your hard work. You will manage our PPC and Display campaigns, primarily through the Google AdWords and Display Network with a focus on customer acquisition and retargeting; ensuring maximum ROI. You will be astute in your targeting – pinning down the audience to ensure maximum efficiency.

As a lifestyle brand, content marketing is a key part of what we do and our Facebook brand page is at the heart of this. You will manage our Facebook community, alongside our blog and YouTube channel – creating engaging content that resonates with our audience. You will have an eye on all things triathlon from around the world; up to speed with the latest news and hottest topics, and work with our network of ambassadors and experts to create content of the highest quality.

Performance is all about results and whilst implementing the above, you will need to monitor performance – making changes and improvements wherever possible. You will manage our Google Analytics account and provide regular updates and feedback on all digital activity to ensure continual progress.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Experience using WordPress. We can help you out here with some basic training but ideally you will have used and managed WP sites already.
  • An understanding of HTML & CMS coding. You don’t have to be a coding guru but basic knowledge will be necessary.
  • Awareness of customer experience and enhancement of UX. This doesn’t need to be something you’ve previously done in a work role but must have great instinct and understanding.
  • Experience creating and managing Google AdWords and Display campaigns. This is a must with the success to back it up.
  • A proven track record of increasing web traffic.
  • Experience managing social media channels. We can teach you this as long as first and foremost you have a passion for triathlon.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience creating blog content

An important cog in the marketing wheel, you’ll be expected to be involved at all levels, including helping with events, liaising with athletes and ambassadors, writing content and drafting press releases, contributing to our social channels, reporting on performance and sales.

This role is a great first step for someone at the start of their marketing career, offering the opportunity to gain a broad range of experience and progress as the business grows and develops. You will be passionate about triathlon and have a good understanding of the industry, and our customers.

International Sales & Marketing Executive|

Zone3 has enjoyed phenomenal organic growth over the last decade, becoming the UK’s number one wetsuit brand in triathlon. We’ve got big ambitions and are looking for someone who shares our passion and values to help grow our portfolio of products and distribution.

You will work closely on our existing B2B sales accounts as well as establishing relationships with new retailers. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the sports retail industry, ideally having experience in the swimming, triathlon, running or fitness sectors.

A key part of this role will be focused on growing new markets and expanding Zone3’s reach into the individual discipline sports, with a particular focus on swim, run and the wider gym/fitness market. You will be the driving force of our growth here and need to utilising all existing contacts to open new doors and get us onto shop floors and ultimately in customers hands.

You will be an integral part of the sales team and work closely with the marketing dept. to ensure all commercial opportunities are properly activated and in line with business objectives. This role requires someone who is able to think outside of the box and have a strong commercial head with real salesmanship. You’ll be well aware of the industry landscape and areas the brand can break into.

The nature of any growing business means we’re always looking for that next opportunity and the ideal candidate will share this drive, pushing things through from an idea to completion. Good communication skills are key together with being highly organised both personally and from an account management perspective.

Experience in the triathlon, swimming, running, or general sports industry is essential, likewise is sales experience. B2B retail account management experience preferential and a second language would be advantageous.
